End of 2009

Well, here we are in the last week of 2009. I started UniquelyAnita.Etsy.com in May. It was really slow getting started, and I was rather discouraged a few times, but once I got things rolling, I couldn't be more pleased. Seven months later I feel so blessed with the success I've had. I had so many Christmas orders I had to start turning them down.

I'm taking a short break (very short). UniquelyAnita.Etsy.com is closed until January 6, 2010. In the month of January I will be working on my most popular items to restock my shop, and will be making a new "Birthday Doll." There will be one for each month, depicting the birthstone colors and seasons of each month.

In February I will begin taking orders for Nativity Sets for Christmas 2010. If you'd like one for next Christmas, please consider ordering sooner rather than later. I had to turn down 9 Nativity Set orders in November and DEcember this year because there just wasn't enough time to get them done for Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me make a great start on UniquelyAnita.Etsy.com! We have an exciting new year ahead of us!

Hurry up and Wait!

Well, my "almost" broken finger is finally well enough to crochet again....Followed by a nasty virus...so I've lost quite a bit of "crochet time" to fill orders and I didn't get as many done as I wanted. My last order before Christmas is almost done, I will finish it in the 11th hour. Then it's cookie time for me and Elyssa.....

I already have quite a few Nativity sets ordered for next Christmas! I plan on taking a bit of vacation after finishing this last one, and starting back to work when Kevin and Elyssa go back to school in January. Those of you that know me, know that I probably won't go that long without crocheting!

Looks like I will be working on Christmas items at least through April...Maybe I'll have a Christmas in July Sale on Etsy!

Well, Christmas is almost here! I want to thank everyone for all their orders, and for helping me make this new business so successful. I never dreamed it would take off so fast - so quickly!

Due to a really stupid accident Tuesday - I have been set back a few days finishing up Nativity set orders - so it looks like the one I'm currently working on will be the last one done before Christmas. But at least my finger ISN'T BROKEN like we first thought!

Thanks to everyone and their patience through all the hives and set backs I've had these past 2 months. It seems the more business I get the more frequent the hive episodes! Maybe I'm allergic to success. ; )

Actually, it's probably the jury duty!
